Betwixt the Sky and Sea

Betwixt the Sky and Sea

Salutations, my dear! Cast your eyes beyond the pier!
Gaze at the horizon betwixt the sky and sea
and with the setting sun let your fears be free,
for as the burning star waves goodbye to the day
in glorious red it will take all your worries away
so you may soundly sleep upon a sandy bed
and fall into a weightless dream once you rest your head.

Be on the ground but turn to the sky! For you do not need wings to fly!
Yearn to be free betwixt the low and high,
and float within twilight ’til the dark is nigh.
Upon the windy currents release your tired sigh
to discover that this is just the sky’s lullaby.
You need not be alarmed, for you will not fall,
because I will be with you amongst it all.

For I am the air,
and I promise that I will carry you there.
